Organizational Involvement

Organizations play a vital role in shaping the future of the appraisal profession. From partnership to strategic advisory roles, there are multiple ways to partner with The Appraisal Foundation® (the Foundation).


  • Become a Partner: Support the development of standards and qualifications that uphold public trust and professional excellence.
  • Serve on a Council: Organizations can provide strategic input and industry expertise by participating in one of the Foundation’s advisory councils. These groups help inform board decisions and ensure a broad range of perspectives are considered.
  • Become a Contributor: Do you want to support the Foundation's ongoing work to uphold public trust and advance standards of excellence? Have a project that would help the profession, but need our expertise? Become a contributor and financially support our mission.

Serve on a Council

The Foundation interacts with over 100 non-profit organizations, government agencies, and for-profit companies through its Advisory Councils. Advisory Councils provide recommendations to the Foundation on major issues pending before its Boards.

Your expertise matters. Whether you’re a seasoned appraiser, an emerging leader, or someone passionate about upholding valuation standards, The Appraisal Foundation® (the Foundation) offers meaningful ways to get involved.


Serve on a Board or Panel: Are you interested in being a part of the team that helps shape national standards and qualifications, upholds public trust, and advances standards of excellence? Apply to serve on the Board of Trustees, Appraisal Standards Board (ASB), or Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) and the Business Valuation and Personal Property Resource Panels.

Serve on a Foundation Board

Twice a year, the Foundation opens applications for its open Board positions. The boards rely on a constant stream of new talent from across the profession to carry out their work. Applications for the BOT open in January while applications for the ASB/AQB open in June.
